Black Friday 2026 espresso deals worth watching

Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is November 30. Espresso gear does get real discounts around then, but "deal" prices are often the same sale prices you could have paid weeks earlier. This page lists the machines, grinders and accessories most often recommended to beginners, so you can watch them and judge a deal yourself. We don't list prices here; they change constantly, so always check the current price.
How to tell a real deal
Compare the advertised price with the product's recent price history (tools like camelcamelcamel show this for Amazon). A good deal is at or near the lowest price of the past few months, not just a cut from an inflated "list price."
Machines
Breville Bambino (BES450)
Good fit for: A first machine on a tighter budget, if you're happy to steam milk by hand.
- Same 54 mm portafilter platform and ThermoJet heating family as the Bambino Plus
- Manual steam wand (no automatic milk texturing or auto-purge)
- Smaller and lighter than the Plus; Wirecutter found its shots less consistent than the Plus

Breville Bambino Plus (BES500)
Good fit for: Milk-drink lovers who want a small, fast-heating machine with hands-free milk.
- ThermoJet heating, ready in about 3 seconds (manufacturer claim); PID temperature control
- 54 mm stainless portafilter, single- and dual-wall baskets; 18 g recommended dose
- Low-pressure pre-infusion; 15 bar pump
- Automatic steam wand with adjustable milk temperature and foam level
- 1.9 L (64 fl oz) tank; about 7.7 × 12.6 × 12.2 in
- Wirecutter calls it a former top pick and "still a solid machine", but found dialing in harder than its current picks

Gaggia Classic Pro E24
Good fit for: Hands-on learners who want a durable, repairable, upgradeable machine.
- 58 mm commercial-standard portafilter, so standard 58 mm baskets and tampers fit
- Lead-free brass boiler (3.5 oz) and brass group; 3-way solenoid valve
- 15 bar Ulka pump, OPV calibrated to 9 bar; commercial-style two-hole steam wand
- 72 oz tank; made in Italy; needs a separate grinder and (per Wirecutter) a better tamper
- Wirecutter's current budget pick (Classic Evo Pro)

De'Longhi Dedica (EC685)
Good fit for: Very small counters.
- About 149 mm (5.9 in) wide; Thermoblock heating; 15 bar pump
- 1.1 L tank; manual frother; accepts ground coffee or ESE pods
- Honest caveat: Wirecutter got muddy, under-extracted shots in its testing

De'Longhi Stilosa (EC260BK)
Good fit for: Trying espresso at the lowest entry cost.
- Compact manual machine, 15 bar pump, stainless boiler, manual milk frother (per listing)
- Expect limits: pressurized-basket workflow; a separate grinder helps
CASABREWS CM5418
Good fit for: Budget buyers who want a pressure gauge and steam wand.
- Compact, steam wand, built-in pressure gauge, 34 oz tank (per listing)
- Listing advertises a "20-bar" pump; pump rating is not the same as brew pressure (about 9 bar is typical for espresso)

Grinders
The grinder matters as much as the machine. Unless your machine has one built in, budget for one.
Baratza Encore ESP

- 40 mm hardened steel conical burrs (Etzinger, Liechtenstein)
- Steps 1–20 are fine espresso micro-steps; 21–40 are for filter
- Dosing cup fits 54 mm baskets, 58 mm with included adapter; quick-release burr
- Wirecutter: "a significant upgrade from the Encore"; also covered in James Hoffmann's under-£250 grinder video

- Conical burr grinder, 41 settings, anti-static (per listing)
- An all-rounder rather than an espresso specialist

Accessories and gifts
Scales, tampers, WDT tools and milk pitchers rarely get big discounts but are easy add-ons. See espresso gifts under $50.
Timemore Black Mirror Basic 2.0 scale
Good fit for: Weighing dose and shot output — the most useful first accessory.
- 0.1 g resolution, 0.5 g–2 kg range
- Built-in timer and flow-rate display; USB-C rechargeable 1600 mAh battery

Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
Big brands often hold one sale price from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. If a product hits its recent low, there's usually little reason to wait.
FAQ
Do I need a grinder? Yes, unless your machine has one built in (like the Barista Express). Pre-ground coffee works with pressurized baskets, but fresh grinding gives much better results.
Is the Bambino Plus worth more than the Bambino? Mainly if you make a lot of milk drinks and want them hands-off. See Bambino vs Bambino Plus.
